Rebecca Blumhagen is an artist and filmmaker whose work explores the liminal space between memory and presence, lost myths of childhood, agrarian rhythms, and physical manifestations of confrontations between history and modern culture. She has a background in devised theater, original short-form digital series, and commercial work in many genres, including documentary and animation. Her short documentary The Happiness Machine screened at 27 festivals across the world, winning 13 awards, and was broadcast nationally on PBS. Her current work, an Untitled Feed Sacks Project is a documentary tapestry of collected stories that starts with the use of the feed sack in the early part of the last century by rural women who utilized them to create clothing and quilts. Rebecca is currently completing an MFA in Cinema from Binghamton University.
