Moses Ingram made her television debut in Netflix’s limited series, “The Queen’s Gambit,” for which she received her first Emmy^® nomination for her portrayal as the fan favorite character, “Jolene.” The series, in which she appeared alongside Anya Taylor-Joy, won an Emmy^®, Golden Globe, Critics Choice, and an AFI Award, and has been watched by over 62 million households – making it one of Netflix’s biggest scripted limited series to date. She is currently filming a feature called, THE END, starring opposite Tilda Swinton, Michael Shannon, and George McKay. It is a musical that revolves around a wealthy family surviving in a palatial bunker, two decades after the end of the world to which they contributed through their involvement in the oil industry. It is being directed by Joshua Oppenheimer and distributed by Neon. Ingram recently wrapped filming the Apple limited series, LADY IN THE LAKE, directed by Alma Har’el, in which she co-stars opposite Natalie Portman. She plays the leading role of “Cleo Johnson”, a young, hard-working woman juggling motherhood, many jobs and a passionate commitment to advancing Baltimore’s Black progressive agenda. Ingram simultaneously shot a recurring role in THE BIG CIGAR, also for Apple TV+, opposite Andre Holland about the life of Huey P. Newton. Ingram also starred as “Reva Sevander” in the highly anticipated Star Wars series “Obi-Wan Kenobi” alongside Ewan McGregor and Hayden Christensen. She won a Saturn Award in the category of “Best Supporting Actress in a Streaming Series” for her portrayal of the role.

On the film side, Ingram will next be seen in “All Dirt Roads Taste of Salt”, directed by Raven Jackson and produced by Barry Jenkins for A24. The film recently premiered at the 2023 Sundance Film Festival to rave reviews. She can currently be seen in, “The Tragedy of Macbeth”, directed by Joel Coen, in which she stars opposite Denzel Washington and Frances McDormand as “Lady Macduff.” The film, from Apple/A24, premiered at the 2021 New York Film Festival and released theatrically and via Apple TV+. She can also be seen in “The Same Storm,” which premiered at the 2021 Telluride Film Festival and released theatrically this past October 2022 from director Peter Hedges. Lastly, she can be seen in “Ambulance,” directed by Michael Bay, starring Jake Gyllenhaal and Yahya Abdul-Mateen.

Ingram has also been named one of The Hollywood Reporter’s Next Gen recipients for 2022, Variety’s 10 Actors to Watch for 2021, and was also named one of ELLE’s Young Hollywood honorees for 2021.  A Baltimore native, Ingram attended the Yale School of Drama in 2019 where she won the Princess Grace Award – (Grace Le Vine Theater Award) and the Herschel Williams Prize upon graduating.
