Below please find a list of resources and organizations for emergency resources. We encourage you to explore the different emergency funds available. If you have questions or need assistance in navigating opportunities, PGF staff is available for your questions.

Emergency Funds for Artist Support

The Actors Fund

The Actors Fund has partnered with several industry organizations to provide emergency financial assistance to those who have immediate financial needs. Please note, while some of the funds are for members of entertainment unions, you do not need to be a union member to receive help from The Actors Fund.

Artist Relief

Artist Relief is an initiative organized by the small to mid-sized national arts grantmakers—that have come together in this unprecedented moment guided by the understanding that the wellbeing of artists has financial, professional, social, and mental dimensions, and should be fostered with a holistic framework of support.

The SOZE Agency

This fund, created by the SOZE Foundation, Taskforce and Invisible Hand, will support artists and activists whose work has been impacted by Covid-19. They will be making $250-$750 grants to selected applications on an on-going basis. They currently have $50,000 total for this first round of grants.

Sundance Institute

The Sundance Institute COVID-19 Respond and Reimagine Plan with $1Million in Emergency Relief for Independent Artists and Organizations.

COVID-19 & Freelance Artists

This list is specifically designed to serve freelance artists, and those interested in supporting the independent artist community. This includes, but is not limited to, actors, designers, producers, technicians, stage managers, musicians, composers, choreographers, visual artists, filmmakers, craft artists, teaching artists, dancers, writers & playwrights, photographers, etc.

Dance/USA
Dance/USA is working with the Performing Arts Alliance, ArtsReady, and other field leadership organizations to advocate for the field, gather information, and provide a number of resources regarding the impact of COVID-19 on our field.

The Field

The Field’s mission is to serve independent performing artists on a completely non-exclusive basis. This means that everything they do is open to artists from all aesthetic viewpoints, cultural backgrounds, and levels of development. They are collecting and curating a list of direct resources for artists and organizations experiencing income loss and other troubles as a result of the COVID-19 crisis – and those who are able to help

New England Foundation for the Arts (NEFA)

As the COVID-19 public health crisis intensifies, the New England Foundation for the Arts is monitoring developments and has assembled resources to share with our constituents. In addition to making sure that the people in our ecosystem know where to seek reliable public health information, there are special considerations related to the arts and culture sector that we want to make sure all of our constituents and stakeholders can access.

New York Foundation for the Arts (NYFA)

The New York Foundation for the Arts gives more support to artists and arts organizations in all disciplines than any other private organization in the country. They are providing a comprehensive list for discipline-specific resources.

Candid gets you the information you need to do good. That’s why we created this pop-up webpage to share the philanthropic response to the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. Knowing where money is going and how, and having the latest information from organizations facilitates thoughtful collaboration and decision making. Filmmaker’s Guide To Applying For US Coronavirus Federal Relief

Through the Coronavirus Preparedness and Response Supplemental Appropriations Act, Families First Coronavirus Response Act, and the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act, documentary filmmakers impacted by the pandemic can now apply for immediate and short-term federal relief from the US government.
