Demetrius Lee

Demetrius Malik Lee, (he/him) from Cleveland, Ohio, discovered his passion for dance at age 10, beginning a lifelong pursuit of artistic excellence. He trained at Cleveland Inner-City Ballet before further cultivating his artistry at Cleveland School of the Arts and Tri-C Creative Arts Academy. Later earning his Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance from Boston Conservatory at Berklee on a full-ride scholarship. Upon graduation, he toured Europe with Rock the Ballet under the direction of Adrienne Carterna-Martinez. His training also includes San Francisco Ballet, Houston Ballet, Joffrey Ballet, American Dance Festival, and numerous others. He has performed works by Christopher Huggins, Darrell Moultrie, Jamar Roberts, Stephanie Martinez, Annabelle Ochoa Lopez, Jiří Kylián, Curvin Douthit-Boyd, Bill T. Jones, Jennifer Archibald, Thang Dao, and Dwight Roden. He is so thrilled to be entering his third season as a company artist with Saint Louis Dance Theatre, and is deeply honored to now be a recipient of the Princess Grace Award.
