What started as a personal commitment to make a daily donation to artists as a small way to give back to the creative community, Brisa Trinchero, Princess Grace Foundation-USA’s CEO created #gratitudeandtonic. Thankfully, good ideas grow and soon she was joined by other generous friends and they begin giving away hundreds of dollars a day – putting funds directly into the hands of the artists/musicians/entertainers bringing joy with their artistic endeavors during the time of Covid-19. As a special Summer 2020 initiative, the Princess Grace Foundation – USA joined the cause!

HOW IT WORKED: Each week an Artist Curator was selected to give away that week’s #gratitudeandtonic funds to other extraordinary artists in their network who are using their gifts and talents to nourish their communities and who could use support more than ever right now. Going forward, those Artist Curators were Princess Grace Award winners – allowing them to “Grace it forward”  by choosing one extraordinary artist each day of the week to be the #gratitudeandtonic recipient** and receive that week’s funds to support their artistic endeavors and have their work featured on our social media channels.

#GRATITUDEANDTONIC FUNDING: The funding for this project came directly from donors who pledged a daily amount to add to the pool. Thank you to all of our donors who joined us in supporting this effort. These funds did not go to the Foundation – 100% of the funds went directly into the hands of the #gratitudeandtonic recipient.* Donors were able to commit to any daily amount for any length of time. Every dollar helped to provide critical support and encouragement to artists who are keeping us sane and smiling during this time.

Thanks to a generous challenge grant from the Le Vine Family, all donations were matched up to $7,500!

*Donations are tax-deductible as per 501(c)(3) guidelines.

**While this is a project of the Princess Grace Foundation-USA, it is not a “Princess Grace Award” and the selected artists are not considered Award winners. It’s simply a way for PGF and our donors to show appreciation to the artists who provide entertainment, beauty, and knowledge through their chosen medium both in this time of quarantine and beyond.
