Hadley Austin is an award-winning filmmaker, director, producer, photographer, and writer. Her work is rooted in historical research, community outreach, and the natural world. She is the recipient of grant support from organizations such as The Redford Center, Bay Area Video Coalition, and the Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs. A Pushcart nominee, she is also a published poet. Demon Mineral, her directorial debut, won the Audience Award at Slamdance and the jury award for Best Documentary Film at Buffalo International Film Festival. It recently was screened as part of the United Nations Permanent Forum on Indigenous Issues, and can be found streaming on Kanopy.
