Isabela Fraga-Abaza is an award-winning Latina-Arab animator, artist, and filmmaker from Washington, D.C. Her work has been recognized by the Princess Grace Foundation, and showcased at the Rockefeller Center in New York. Her recent film Birth Controlled has screened in Academy Award–qualifying festivals including Raindance, Slamdance, American Documentary (AMDocs), and others around the world. With a bold visual style and a deep commitment to social justice, her work explores themes of the female gaze, bodily autonomy, and cultural resistance.
