Kalen Simpson (he/him) is a dancer and choreographer from Fort Washington, Maryland. He began his training at Dance Dimensions in District Heights, Maryland. There he studied: Ballet, Contemporary, Tap, Jazz, and Hip Hop. Simpson will join AIM by Kyle Abraham as a swing for the 2026-2027 season in August. Kalen recently earned his BFA in Dance from George Mason University, where he performed works by Rena Butler, Kyle Abraham, Susan Shields, and Doug Varone. He has also trained the Netherlands Dance Theater Summer Intensive, Alonzo King LINES Ballet, Hubbard Street Dance Chicago’s CREATE Intensive, and the Jacob’s Pillow Contemporary Dance Ensemble. His choreographic practice explores physical rigor, collaboration, and the shared human experience.
