Matt Feldman is an artist & filmmaker based in Milwaukee, WI. His films look upon landscapes, place, and gesture in search of hidden meanings and ghostly presences. His films have screened at numerous film festivals and gallery spaces including Alchemy Film & Moving Image Festival, Prismatic Ground, ICA London, EXiS, Anthology Film Archives, Onion City Experimental Film Festival, Engauge Experimental Film Festival, and the San Mei Gallery. His recent film LAS ANIMAS received a jurors award at the Milwaukee Underground Film Festival.
He is currently developing a film exploring the Peshtigo Fire of 1871, often considered the deadliest wildfire disaster in US history.
He currently lectures in the Department of Film, Video, Animation and New Genres at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee & is the programmer of the UWM Union Cinema.
