Roman Sanchez is a director, producer, and educator who is drawn to material that is highly physical. He helmed Dance Nation and Hot & Cold Showers: An Evening of Grand Guignol at Yale Cabaret, and directed A Funny Thing Happened on the Way… with Yale College. Other directing credits include Transitions (Linfield University), Extreme Home Makeover (Teatro Espejo), Prodigal Son (Redwood Curtain Theatre), Radioman (Dell’Arte), The Party Hop, and Doubt (Lime Arts Productions).
His producing and administrative work spans institutions like Steppenwolf Theatre Company, California Arts Council, and Dell’Arte International. Roman is a recipient of the Kennedy Center National Impact Award, Yale’s Dexter Wood Luke Prize, and the Herb Alpert Award.
