SADIEH RIFAI is a Chicago-based actor, playwright, and ensemble member at A Red Orchid Theatre. A versatile storyteller, Sadieh received the prestigious Princess Grace Award in 2011 and is a proud graduate of The School at Steppenwolf.
As a playwright, her debut play The Cave premiered during A Red Orchid’s 32nd season and was nominated for a Joseph Jefferson Award for Best New Work. Her extensive Chicago stage credits include The Targeted, Do You Feel Anger, An Evening at the Talk House, and the world premiere of Grey House (A Red Orchid Theatre); You Will Get Sick (Steppenwolf Theatre); Support Group for Men and A Christmas Carol (Goodman Theatre); as well as the world premiere of The Humans, Hedwig and the Angry Inch, and Speech and Debate(American Theatre Company). Regionally, she appeared in The Nativity Variations at Milwaukee Repertory Theatre and will make her Northlight Theatre debut this August in The Front Page.
On screen, Sadieh has appeared in the feature films All Happy Families, Block Party, Olympia, The Wise Kids, Nate and Margaret, and Hekla. Her television credits include Somebody Somewhere (HBO), Shining Girls(Apple TV+), Patriot (Amazon), The Red Line (CBS), and Bettendorf Talks.
