Susan Youssef is a filmmaker known for her features, documentary, and shorts that have been programmed at film festivals such as Sundance, Venice, Toronto International and Cannes. HABIBI, MARJOUN AND THE FLYING HEADSCARF, and AMSTERDAM TO ANATOLIA stream on Netflix. Her films have been shown at the Tate Modern, New Museum and The Museum of Modern Art (MoMA). She is a Princess Grace Award winner, Fulbright Fellow, Yale University Poynter Fellow in Journalism, and Disney Directing Program alum. She is a member of the 2024 class of the Directors branch of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. Susan is the Film Advisor at Yale University. She was born in Brooklyn, NY.
