2015 Guggenheim Fellow Zoe Scofield is the co-artistic director of zoe | juniper, a Seattle-based dance and visual arts team The Boston Globe describes as a “crazy dream you just can’t shake.”

Raised in a small town in Georgia, Zoe began ballet at a young age, instilling a deep love of structure, discipline, and the transformative power of performance. Zoe left GA at 14 to study at Walnut Hill School of Art, followed by a professional dance career in Boston and Toronto before settling in Seattle.

zoe | juniper, her collaboration with visual artist Juniper Shuey, has toured nationally and internationally for the last decade. With funding support from the NEA, in 2017 they will present “Clear and Sweet 360,” a 360 dance film screened on VR headsets.
